Organization Name: VENTURA COUNTY MANAGED CARE COMMISSION

• Description: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT): Provides transportation to individuals who need assistance getting to and from medical appointments. Driver provides help to individuals with physical or mental disability who cannot get to appointments on their own. Utilizes specialized vehicles such as ambulance, litter van, wheelchair van, or air transport.
  
  Non-Medical Transportation (NMT): Offers individuals transportation to their medical appointments for Medi-Cal covered services. Services include:
  • Medical, dental and mental health services
  • Substance use disorder services
  • Support group meetings

  NMT is only available if individuals are:

  • Traveling to and from an appointment for a Medi-Cal-covered service.
  • Picking up prescriptions and medical supplies.
  • Unable to get other transportation.
